Hello Beloved Community!
Here is what we are offering so far in the life of our church this month and into Holy Week and Easter:
Starting 10am Sunday, March 21st We’ll have Outdoor Worship at the church, with drive-in and outdoor seating options. Please arrive early, wear masks, and respect 6-foot distancing. Stay home if you have symptoms of illness.
10am Sunday, March 28 We will worship outdoors at the church, as above. Please if you can come with a bit of greenery to serve as your “palm” – anything from a branch from an evergreen tree, to a bunch of the bamboo leaves you grow for your pet panda. We will also provide something for those who need. There will also be an opportunity to write prayers and “letting go” intentions to place on the cross.
Maundy Thursday 7pm Thursday, April 1 We will do this via Zoom, like last year. Please have bread and juice or wine ready to celebrate holy Communion. If you have candles they will help to make your space sacred for our retelling the story of the last week of Jesus’ life.
Good Friday 7pm, Friday, April 2
Outside, masked, at the Prayer Labyrinth We will gather to do a ritual of Letting Go, of honoring the death before the resurrection, we find in Christ. This will involve writing prayers and burning them along with the prayers that were offered at the cross during Palm Sunday.
Easter Sunday 10am Sunday, April 4 This is also be an outdoor/drive-in worship at the church. After the service there will be Prayer Rock Painting in the prayer labyrinth.
And an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids!!
In faith, with courage,
